From checking to knowing

A little setup.
A clearer picture.

Less refreshing the forecast. More understanding what’s happening on your river.

  1. 01

    Find your stretch.

Search for a town, river or postcode. See nearby stations, the latest water levels and how they compare with the usual range.

  2. 02

    Make it personal.

Choose a station and the water level you want to watch. Keep an eye on the river near your home, your business or your daily route.

  3. 03

Let the alert come to you.

Get an email or push notification when your chosen level is crossed. Paid plans add SMS and more station watches.

Grounded in data. Clear about the limits.

Levels, rainfall and flood warnings come from the Environment Agency real-time data API (Beta) and are refreshed every 15 minutes. We add our own reading of that data: trend, comparison against each station's own history, and early warning signals derived from upstream rainfall. Those predictive signals are in beta and are being validated through this flood season.

Flood Monitor is supplementary to official Environment Agency flood warnings and is not a safety-critical service. In an emergency, follow the advice of the Environment Agency and the emergency services.
